Algorithms group leader

Zebra Medical Vision s a leader in modern computer vision and deep learning practices.
The algorithms team is in charge of creating cutting edge algorithmic products which detect and diagnose a wide variety of medical conditions from medical images.

These solutions help make medical diagnosis faster, more accurate and more accessible to millions of patients around the world.

As a researcher on the team, you will get a chance to work alongside some of the best minds in the field and implement the latest Deep learning and computer vision algorithms, in a multidisciplinary and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 8-10 researchers and data scientists, focusing on deep learning, computer vision and text mining
  • Attract and retain top talent in the field of deep learning
  • Provide team members with guidance and decisions around algorithm and research topics and methodologies
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to define the scope, requirements timelines and project plans of complex, multi-disciplinary Machine learning projects
  • Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from problem definition, data collection, research, development, productization and measurements
  • Initiate and guide various long term research efforts, and build excellence in the field of deep learning for imaging data – including implementing the latest techniques and articles
  • Establish processes, common infrastructure, tools, automations and shared practices in the team to achieve maximal efficiency as well as high quality products
Requirements

  • MSC/PHD in computer science, preferably in the field of machine learning/computer vision
  • 2+ years Experience in leading a team of 4+ senior data scientists/researchers
  • 3+ years of hands on development of complex machine learning models using modern frameworks and tools (ideally python based)
  • 1+ year of hands on experience with Deep learning using common open source frameworks and tools (Keras, TensorFlow, Theano etc.)
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Team player, positive and driven, fast learner
Desirable skills/qualifications

  • PHD – very strong advantage
  • Experience in computer vision – very strong advantage
  • Publications/public speaking experience in the field of Machine learning – strong advantage
  • Experience in engineering, especially working with CI, docker, Hadoop, and distributed systems – strong advantage

Senior Backend Engineer

The Zebra Applications team owns the Imaging Analytics Engine – a large scale distributed system, which runs either in the cloud or on premise, ingests and analyzes huge amounts of medical images with our advanced deep learning algorithms in near real time.

The system is designed in a microservice architecture using Docker, Node.js, Python, Redis, Postgres and ELK stack in the backend with Angular & Electron in the frontend.

We are looking for a senior backend engineer to help us take our infrastructure to the next level – starting from adopting CI/CD and code quality best practices, to scaling our system into a large multi-tenant infrastructure.

This is a huge challenge and an opportunity to get in at a very interesting phase of the product, and make a significant impact – while working as part of a young and fun team in an environment which fosters innovation, independence, responsibility and keeps the customer in mind at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design and develop complex backend features
  • Own microservices end-to-end
  • Adopt and refine CI/CD and other engineering quality best practices
  • Redesign, test and scale bottlenecks that will enable us to reach X50 scale
  • Design features and integrate with tools to improve observability and operational excellence
  • Work closely with devops, other engineers, algorithm developers and professional services to ensure features meet customer needs
  • Troubleshoot customer issues, provide quick and thorough solutions
Requirements

  • 4+ years in backend development on distributed, scalable system, preferably SaaS
  • 2+ years in leading complex features, potentially as a technical lead in a team.
  • 4+ years experience in Linux
  • Experience with microservice architecture
  • Experience with solving high load challenges
  • Passion for technology and modern software engineering practices (including reading about technology outside of work)
  • Ability to perform well in a fast paced startup environment
  • Self driven, communicative, and fun to work with!
Desirable experience/skills

  • Node.js & Python – very strong advantage

Regulatory specialist

The Zebra Regulation team is responsible for the global registration and regulatory approvals of Zebra’s products.

We are looking for a regulatory specialist to help us obtain regulatory approvals for the Zebra’s products across the world.

This is a huge challenge and an opportunity to get in at a very interesting phase of the product, and make a significant impact – while working as part of a professional team in an environment which fosters innovation, independence, responsibility and keeps the customer in mind at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain regulatory submissions, including 510(k), Technical Files, Letter-to-File and International Registration documentation
  • Define and execute regulatory strategy for new products and changes for existing products
  • Prepare, review and approve product development documents, including test protocols and reports, risk analysis documents, clinical validation protocols etc.
  • Participate in regulatory inspections and audits
Requirements

  • 4+ years in the medical device industry
  • Proven experience with preparing documentation for regulatory submissions (510(k), CE technical files)
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques in clinical validation studies
  • Experience with software medical device regulation – an advantage
  • Ability to perform well in a fast paced startup environment
  • Self driven, communicative, and fun to work with!
Desirable skills/qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Hebrew and English
